cookids in Disneyland – Pasta with cherry-tomato-sauce

We were traveling a few days. Mama and Papa surprised us with a visit to Mickey in Paris, where Princesses invited us to tea, Jack Sparrow personally led us into the mysterious pirate cave and we danced with our idols from the High School Musical.

Know what, Choco met Remy, the world-famous celebrity chef in the Disney movie Ratatouille and she cooked with him, no for him!

Wonderland or not, we found the food at Disneyland is not so great ….. Fast food everywhere! Choco took the opportunity and told Remy about it. He is ready to change the card, but there must be recipes that can be quickly prepared also in large quantities and of course must be loved by kids. Choco proposed him spontaneously the following recipe:

Pasta with cherry-tomato-sauce
(4 persons)

500 g pasta (Spaghetti, Penne Rigate, etc.)

Cook pasta according to package instructions.

Sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 onion finely chopped
2 garlic cloves crushed
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp chopped herbs (eg parsley, basil)
400 g cherry tomatoes, halved
3 tbsp red wine (optional)
1 / 4 tsp sugar
1 / 4 tsp salt

Melt butter in a frying pan, add onion and garlic fry until golden. Add tomato puree and herbs then cherry tomatoes and red wine bring to the boil. Immediately reduce heat season with sugar and salt and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

One, two, three … our super-quick tomato sauce is ready to serve.

We use wholemeal pasta and serve the pasta with a fresh salad.

Easy to prepare and healthy! Suitable for adventurous kids like us who after a well-deserved meal are full of energy again and can realize their dreams.
