My dear friend B. told me about a riddle in a Swiss food magazine. She suggested to do this in my blog too. I thought it’s a great idea, so I’m happy to present you today the first foodies puzzleriddle.
* Sorry I just changed the name.

For the beginning we start with an easy one:
On the picture below you can see 7 ingredients. Your task is to find out what I prepared with these ingredients.
Just leave a comment with your answer or questions. If necessary I will post some hints.
The solution and recipe can be found here.

Oh, how thrilling! a food riddle!! Mmmm…I have two guesses (I don’t know if this is allowed)…but it’s actually two ways of cooking a thing. I say a basil soufflé
Did you make basil pasta?
I also saw that game in my „Cuisine De Saison“ magazine…
Cheers,
Rosa

Of course guessing is allowed!
REPLY:
Yes, I think she saw it in this magazine.
So is that all the ingredients or are there more?
Riddles are always fun.

These are 100% of the ingredients.
This is fun!! :0) Did you make a frittata??
Basil pancake, or basil scone?
I just love riddles. Really fun event. >Gosh, I am totally not sure about this one. That flour looks more like corn meal or maybe durum? Basil Pasta?
I am actually playing a little game on my blog, too :-) Want to guess secret ingredients I received?
the riddles in the magazine are much easier :-)
Hallo!
Polenta mit „nussfreiem“ Pesto?
Polenta and pesto without nuts? That would explain the milk, but the lack of pine nuts… Then again, my little one cannot have nuts so I know that it works fine without.
Great idea!
Alexandra
uhm… pasta with basil?
Basilikum-Knöpfli wegen dem Mineralwasser ?
It’s a great idea! Let me study the ingredients! Elga
Manju from Three Tastes wrote me an email. She’s thinking I was making a bread with these ingredients. Sorry Manju, no bread this time. ;-)
well maybe it would gnochi with basil, but than I have never made it so it’s a real wild guess (and all that because I had gnochi last nigth).
It’s not basil!
spinatpalatschinken?
is it spinach cornmeal crepes? but it lacks baking powder…i dunno…
maybe you are making some kind of basil-scented pancakes
REPLY:
sorry, spinach pancakes
