World Bread Day ’08 – The Roundup and After Hours Party

World Bread Day '08 - Roundup
You don’t need to wait any longer. Finally I’ve finished the long expected World Bread Day ’08 roundup.

People from all over the world – both old and new bread baking addicts – have chimed in to take part in World Bread Day ’08.

At last year’s World Bread Day roundup we could see about 184 entries.

This year tops all my expectations again: I have the honor to present – tataaaa –

245 246 entries

from all over the world.

The roundup was a lot of work, exhausting, but it completely worth it! ;-) I have read every one of your great posts and tried to leave a comment.

Thank you all so much for participating!

And now I let you discover the huge basket filled with breads, all made with love:

The entries are sorted by country, then alphabetically by blog name. The roundup is splitted up into 4 parts.

you find all entries from Argentina (3), Australia (4), Austria (3), Belgium (1), Brazil (2), Canada (6), China (1), Cyprus (1), Denmark (1), France (16), Germany (25) and Greece (1)

you find all entries from Hungary (1), India (7), Israel, (2) and Italy (51)

you find all entries from Luxemburg (1), Malaysia (1), Mexico (1), Netherlands (2), New Zealand (1), Norway (1), Poland (11), Portugal (4), Senegal (1), Singapore (3), Spain (29), Sweden (1) and Switzerland (6)

you find all entries from Trinidad (1), Turkey (1), UK (7) and USA (48), Venezuela (1)

Don’t forget to check the World Bread Day ’08 flickr group pool, too.

See you all again next year on October 16!

If you can’t wait till then, you are cordially invited to join BreadBakingDay, a monthly event, currently hosted by Grain Power.

  10. Dear Zorra,

For sure I had seen that you were finally ready with the roundup before reading your lovely E-Mail. The number of participation is really impressive… and it’s very interesting to see were the publication comes from.

You’ve done a formidable work summarizing all the entries and writing a comment to every participant, I’m very proud of you :-)

    Lots of besos!
    Marion.

Beautiful entries to refer to all year long, almost 1 per day!!

  12. OK, I just ran out of ink, making prints of the recipes I’d like to bake. I’m afraid it’ll take me some time!
Even with a lot of recipes in languages I don’t speak (so I can’t place them on my baking list),
I have my work cut out for me the coming weeks…
    Better get started ;-)
